Lover’s Leap Walking Tour

WASHINGTON – The Institute for American Indian Studies will present a walking lecture of Lover’s Leap, located near Bridgewater/New Milford town lines.

Dr Laurie Weinstein, an archaeologist/anthropologist with the Department of Social Sciences at Western Connecticut State University and an IAIS board member, will lead the tour. The event is scheduled in recognition of Connecticut Archaeology Week, which is celebrated in mid-October. The walk is being held on Saturday, October 30, at 1 pm. The walk will begin at the grounds of IAIS, at 38 Curtis Road. Participants will carpool from IAIS and drive to the site. The walk will last approximately two hours, not counting the drive.
