Madge W. Hoffman

Madge W. Hoffman, 96, a former longtime Norwalk resident and aunt of Sylvia Blackmon, died October 13 at Mrs Blackmon’s present home on Currituck Road, Newtown, where she had resided the past several months.

Mrs Hoffman was born in Anderson, Ind., September 16, 1904, daughter of the late Jonas and Ada (Cridge) Whetstone.

Mrs Hoffman is survived, besides her niece, by two great-nieces, Cathryn and her husband, Bill Brennan, of Sandy Hook, and Suzanne and her husband, John Burns, of Grayslake, Ill.; one great-nephew, Gregory Helms and his wife, Christina, of Norwalk.

Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Entombment took place in Washington Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Ind.

 Arrangements were by Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
