Daniel M. Knecht

Daniel M. Knecht, 68, of Beacon, N.Y., formerly of Trumbull, died on October 16.

He was the brother of Beatrice Thompson of Sandy Hook.

Born in Trumbull to the late Alvin Knecht and Katherine (Machalowski) Knecht, he had been a Trumbull resident prior to enlisting in the US Army where he was a veteran of the Korean War. He had been a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include another sister, Lillian Townsend of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews.

Private interment will take place in the Trumbull Burial Grounds.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
