To Meet
The November 4 meeting of the Housatonic Valley Group of the Sierra Club in Newtown will feature a slide presentation on the effects of domestic livestock grazing on western public lands.
Mike Hudak, Phd, will show how grazing is destroying the ecosystem of the land and streams, at a considerable cost to the taxpayer. Mr Hudak also will address what can be done to recover those lands.
The meeting will be held in the Congregational Church House, located behind the Newtown General Store on Main Street. Parking is on the street or behind the building.
