I am writing to express my strong support for Tony Hwang as he seeks re-election to the Connecticut State Senate. Tony has proven time and again that he is a dedicated public servant who works tirelessly for our community!

Tony’s record speaks for itself, he has been instrumental in passing legislation that addresses public safety, mental health, and economic recovery. Small businesses are the backbone of Newtown and Tony played a key role in advocating for our small businesses during the pandemic; pushing for Relief programs that have helped local businesses survive and thrive!

His charitable involvement with the Wakeman Boys and Girls club, the Kennedy Collective, Ability Beyond, the Chinese American Heritage Association, the Bridgeport Catholic Diocese, the Jewish Federation Association of Connecticut, and the Center for Family Justice shows how he supports and believes in our well-being and community. Most importantly, Tony’s work to secure funding for mental health services in schools has been a major step forward in ensuring our children receive the support they need.

Tony is known for working across the aisle to find practical solutions to improve the lives of the people in our district, especially the most vulnerable. His experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, and efforts to protect our children on social media makes him perfectly suited to be our voice in Hartford to help develop safer online experiences for our children.
