To The Editor:

I will be voting for knowledge and experience when it comes to our local officials.

Mitch Bolinsky, Tony Hwang, and Marty Foncello have the leadership ability and know-how to work for what is best for Newtown; these gentlemen have gone above and beyond working for their constituents over the years. I have called on these men with questions I had while serving on Newtown’s Legislative Council and personally on other matters. Without hesitation, I always received answers.

Mitch Bolinsky, Tony Hwang, and Marty Foncello have had several public meetings in Newtown that were publicized and well attended. I attended these meetings and left with the fact that they are working hard on my behalf. They all keep asking the governor to call a special session to work on this outrageous public benefit charge that is on our electric bills. Being in the minority party in the legislature, the governor and democratic majority refuse to work on reigning in this hidden tax they labeled public benefit charge.

Mitch’s opponent, as the former school board chairman, kept Newtown schools closed at the end of COVID even when other schools were open. The learning loss alone will be with our schools for years to come.

Tony’s opponent has no connection to Newtown except to say he marched in our parade.

Marty’s opponent hailed from N.Y. during COVID and again has no connection to Newtown.

I will stick with proven leadership and experience and vote for Newtown’s delegation and ask that you do the same.
