Rob Blanchard has a strong track record of working for the citizens of Connecticut.

He is currently Chief of Staff to Comptroller Sean Scanlon, focusing on making healthcare more affordable and accessible. Rob worked with former Attorney General George Jepsen and was a senior advisor to Governor Ned Lamont, addressing key issues such as the mortgage crisis and the Covid pandemic. Through this work in state government, Rob has learned firsthand how thoughtful government action and smart leadership can move our communities forward. He is committed to giving back to the community.

Rob’s elected service includes serving on a town planning and zoning board and city council. He currently serves on Fairfield’s RTM (Representative Town Meeting, the equivalent of Newtown’s Legislative Council), where he brings a commitment to community service. Rob collaborates with local leaders to mitigate rising property taxes and insufficient funding for education.

At a time when so many in Connecticut feel like the American Dream is slipping away, Rob is running to help residents grasp that dream. He is dedicated to cutting red tape so our local businesses can thrive. He will maintain our reputation as a state with a strong workforce and university system that attracts and educates the next generation of workers — teachers, healthcare workers, public safety professionals, and manufacturers.
