To The Editor:

If you have lived in Newtown for at least the last 12 years you already know what I am going to say but if you are new to Newtown, please take a moment to learn why so many of your neighbors from ALL political parties continue to vote for our State Representative Mitch Bolinsky.

Mitch has represented Newtown for the past twelve years (six terms). He has NEVER voted to raise our taxes and now he is fighting to get our energy bills reduced. He has championed some of the most important legislature in Connecticut regarding aging, making it possible for loved ones to receive care and independently live at home. He has received recognition for his partnership with Newtown Public Schools, helping them with Air Quality Grants and co-sponsored a bill helping students with dyslexia. He is endorsed by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association for his perfect voting record and endorsed by the Police Officers Association of CT and the Fraternal Order of Police. My first interaction with Mitch was right after Covid. Mitch spent an hour with me on the phone listening and providing guidance. I later found out he called me on his way home from his mother’s funeral. Unlike most politicians, his constituents’ priorities come before his own. He is so aligned and in touch with our community it is hard to think about Newtown without Mitch representing our interests.

Newtown needs Mitch’s common sense and voice of reason in Hartford, not another rubber stamp. On November 5th, do everyone that lives in Newtown a favor and vote to re-elect Mitch Bolinsky.
