Re-elect A Deserving Candidate
To the Editor:
Paul Lundquist has worked hard for Newtown and deserves to be reelected to the Legislative Council in November.
Paul has in the past, and will continue in the future, to make education, public safety, and road maintenance, the three priorities of his tenure on the Legislative Council.
A father of two children in Newtown's schools, Paul wants every family with kids in Newtown to feel confident in his voice. He will continue to be at the table to advocate for and support the needs of Newtown's schools. Over the past six years, as a member of the Legislative Council and current vice chairman, Paul has supported fiscally conservative financial policies and goals.
One of Paul's greatest strengths is his exceptional ability to be a reasonable and rational team player. He is adept at synthesizing facts and identifying commonalities of opinion across diverse perspectives. A research professional by day, Paul always endeavors to base decisions on facts and data, with clear rationale to frame the outcome.
Among Paul's many accomplishments in Newtown, he's served on the Municipal Building Strategic Plan Committee, representing the Legislative Council (2015-2016) and the Fairfield Hills Master Plan Review Committee (2010-2011). Paul created and implemented the Survey of Newtown Residents, "The Way Things Are in Newtown" (2007/2008). He volunteered his time and his firm's resources to survey a statistically representative sample of Newtown households on a range of topics affecting the town and residents. Paul provided insight and guidance to municipal leadership and the project was completed at no expense to the town. Paul has volunteered on behalf of many groups in Newtown, including The Avielle Foundation's Spark Project.
Newtown's future will surely be in good hands with Paul Lundquist's input in our local government. Please vote for him in November.
