To the Editor:

As a resident of New Haven, I will not have the fortune of casting a ballot in the race for state representative in Newtown; however, I did want to take the opportunity to write to encourage voters to consider Chris Lyddy when they vote.

I have known Chris to be a genuine, hardworking, articulate voice who tirelessly advocates for his community and state. At a time when so many young people have left Connecticut, Chris firmly planted his feet here and has dedicated himself to working for a strong future for our state. We need the new ideas, clear vision, strong values, and right judgment that Chris offers now more than ever. I encourage Newtown to elect Chris Lyddy — I have no doubt he will make all of Connecticut proud.
