Nancy Davis

Gordon

Model And Mentor

For Many

Nancy Davis Gordon, born in Adelaide, Australia, on March 4, 1928, died in Danbury Hospital, October 8.

She traveled to England when she was 19 years old, where she worked for several years as a journalist. While traveling in Paris in 1950 she met George Gordon, who was there on vacation. He arranged for her to come over to the United States, and they quickly married and spent the remainder of their lives together. They lived in several homes in New York, in Allentown, Penn., for two years, then back to New York City, and then 21 years ago settled in Newtown.

Her two daughters, Diane Gordon of Lake Leelanau, Mich., and Jennifer and Richard Gibbs of Harrison, N.Y.; and her son, Harry Gordon of Elmhurst, N.Y., survive her. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, David, Kimberly, Jessica, and Haley Gibbs.

Mrs Gordon was a strong, beautiful woman who loved people, animals, and life. She loved to read and watch movies, listen to music, garden, dance, and paint. She was a role model and mentor for so many. She loved her friends, family, house, nature, and her kitties. To know her was to love her. She will be missed by so many.

Her passing was very sudden and unexpected. She lived a rich, full life, right up until the end, but succumbed to acute myelogenous leukemia in those final days.

Cremation will be private. No services are scheduled.
