Mr & Mrs Matthew Dobson

Amy Platt and Matthew Dobson were united in marriage by the Monsignor Robert E. Weiss on April 25, 2008, at St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church. A reception followed at The Waterview in Monroe.

Amy is the daughter of Christine and John Platt of Sandy Hook. She was given into marriage by her father.

Her maid of honor was Megan Stadalnik of Southbury, and bridesmaids were Sara D’Amico of Sandy Hook, Melissa DeFriesse of Sandy Hook, Kristyn Greco of New Fairfield, Krista Halstead of Sandy Hook, and Erin Platt of Southbury.

Amy graduated from Newtown High School, and then from Naugatuck Valley Community College with a degree in early education. She is employed as a preschool teacher in Newtown.

Matthew is the son of Patricia Dobson of Sandy Hook and Herbert Dobson of New Milford.

Jerry Dachenhausen of Newtown was his best man. Ushers were Scott Dobson of Norwalk, Sean Dobson of Norwalk, Paul Pavelo of Watertown, Jason Platt of Southbury, and Steve Platt of Sandy Hook.

Matthew also graduated from Newtown High School. He is also a graduate of Baran Institute of Technology, and is currently a diesel mechanic for the Town of Newtown.

Following their honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the Dobsons returned to their home in Sandy Hook.
