Art Demo By Kevin Conklin

NEW FAIRFIELD — The Candlewood League of Artists will host a program by Kevin Conklin on Monday, October 20. Mr Conklin will demonstrate the use of oil and oil pastel to create a landscape.

The program will run from 7 to 8:30 pm and will be in the community room of New Fairfield Library, on Brush Hill Road (Route 39). The public is invited and there is no admission charge.

Kevin Conklin has been a professional artist and illustrator since 1982. He began his art education by attending a four year program for illustration and fine art at Paier College of Art and then Massachusetts College of Art.

Mr Conklin is known for his work in oils and oil pastels. He re-creates abstract patterns of nature in vibrant colors. His work reflects his spiritual connection to nature, its brilliance as in looking at stained glass.

Mr Conklin’s demonstration will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience.
