Hospital Plans Wine Tasting

WATERBURY — Waterbury Hospital, along with Connecticut Labor Source, is sponsoring a wine-tasting fundraiser, “The Vintage Octoberfest,” on Thursday, October 26, from 5:30 to 9 pm at the Mattatuck Museum, 144 West Main Street, Waterbury.

The event will feature wine from four Connecticut vineyards, beer from Hammer and Nail Brewery, and food stations catered by the museum.  While sampling various wines, guests will enjoy music by Marty Q, have their future told with a psychic reading, or bid on more than 40 silent auction prizes, ranging from a round trip airfare and seven-night stay in Florida, to a ski weekend at Mt Snow in Vermont.

Proceeds from the event will help the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department of Waterbury Hospital purchase needed exercise equipment for recovering cardiac patients. Tickets are $40 each and are available by calling the Fund Development Office of Waterbury Hospital at 203/573-6083.
