Frances Butler

Frances “Mickie” (Scianna) Butler, 64, of Shelton, died October 16 at St Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury.

She was the sister of Sal Scianna of Newtown.

Born in Bridgeport on November 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Fico) Scianna. Mrs Butler was the widow of Raymond Butler.

Survivors include her beloved family, three sons, Keith Lawlor of Derby, Mark Lawlor of York, Penn., and John Lawlor of Louisville, Ky.; four daughters, Kim Manion of Ansonia, June Lawlor of Kingman, Ariz., Roberta Thomas of Shelton, and Karen Blank of Ansonia; another brother, John Scianna of Trumbull; five sisters, Lorraine Makara of Florida, Gerry Illioff of Milford, Pat Chonko of Monroe, and Sharon DeProfio of Derby; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Lawlor.

Funeral services were held October 18, in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
