A bonfire and hayride with the Newtown Newcomers & Neighbors (NNN) originally scheduled for October 4 was rained out. The event, which is open to the public, was rescheduled for Sunday, October 19, at 5:30 pm.

It will take place at Castle Hill Farm, 40 Sugar Lane. Refreshments will be offered; BYOB.

Cost is $10 per nonmember family, which will be credited toward new membership. The annual club fee is $35.

There is no charge for current NNN members.

Members coordinate activities such as book clubs, children’s activities, bridge, restaurant reviewers, ladies’ nights/men’s nights, walking groups, family-friendly activities, and more. The club also gives back to the community by supporting a local food pantry and adopting families during holiday season.

The organization welcomes both new residents, and those who have lived in town for any amount of time.
