To the Editor:

I write to endorse the election of Paul Lundquist to the Legislative Council and to encourage all who live in the First District to support him in the upcoming election.

At a time when the council is losing all of its senior leadership, and many issues face Newtown, it is encouraging that a candidate with Paul’s unique background is willing to serve. Given his involvement in the recent townwide survey, and his understanding of the issues that face the town, I am confident that he will ably represent the district and will exercise good judgment on behalf of the town.
