Delivery Of Human Insulin By Nasal Spray To Be Discussed
 DANBURY â The Diabetes Club of Danbury, a support group for people with diabetes, their families and friends, features a series of guest speaker programs and special presentations dedicated to discussions about living well with diabetes.
The next meeting takes place on Monday, October 19, from 7:30 to 9 pm, at Danbury Hospital in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium. Park free in the Blue Visitorâs Parking lot located on Hospital Avenue.
Featured speaker Dr Peter Richardson, corporate vice president and chief scientific officer at Mannkind Corporation, discusses the topic âTechnospheres: A Novel Approach to Insulin.â He will explain how a new form of ultrafast-acting insulin that can be administered as a nasal spray may make the control of diabetes better and more convenient.
The Diabetes Club of Danbury meets at Danbury Hospital on the third Monday during the months of March, April, May, September, and October.
âThe goal of the free diabetes education program is to provide continuous up-to-date information and education regarding the day-to-day management of diabetes,â said Dr Robert Ruxin, a certified diabetes educator and medical director of The Diabetes Club of Danbury.
