Amy Treadwell of Sandy Hook, a 2000 graduate of Newtown High School, was recently selected to receive a scholarship from the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local #1 CT.

Amy Treadwell of Sandy Hook, a 2000 graduate of Newtown High School, was recently selected to receive a scholarship from the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local #1 CT.
Miss Treadwell was sponsored by her maternal grandfather, Mr Joseph Sileo, Jr, of Monroe. His is a 50-plus year member of the union.
A dinner and award ceremony was held at The Hawthrone Inn in Berlin, Connecticut, on September 7.
Miss Treadwell is a freshman at Western Connecticut State University and is an elementary education major. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Ronald Jones of Sandy Hook and Mr Gary R. Treadwell of Redding.
