To the Editor:

We would like to thank everyone who came to Cabaret Night at the library on Friday, October 11, to support the Newtown Lions Foundation Sandy Hook Elementary Fund.  We are pleased that everyone had a good time and that we were able to raise $870 for the fund.

 We owe a special thanks to Lucy Handley of the C.H. Booth Library staff for helping this happen and to Shannon Hicks of The Bee for getting the word out about the event.
