To the Editor:

George Ferguson has a proven record of leadership, service, and commitment. From his 30 years of executive level experience to his service on numerous community boards, the Conservation Commission and now on the Legislative Council, George Ferguson has demonstrated that he is the leader our community continues to require in these economically challenging times.

George Ferguson knows how to make the hard decisions. He listens, deliberates, and acts with clarity and determination. He knows how to educate, engage, and persuade people to do things in our common and collective interests. Newtown is fortunate to have a consultative leader who listens well and takes action after gathering all available information. Based on his impressive achievements, George Ferguson deserves our support and our vote.

On the Legislative Council, he has demonstrated his ability to tackle and solve the challenges Newtown faces. George has a rare talent which combines understanding and managing the details of government budgets while also having an intimate knowledge of the people and communities that make this state the unique and wonderful place that it is. The best way we can contribute to move Connecticut forward is to elect George Ferguson as our representative to the state General Assembly.

I am very pleased that George Ferguson is seeking to be our representative in Hartford. He is someone the people of Newtown trust, respect, and can count on to effectively address some of the toughest challenges facing the state, especially in these difficult times.
