To the Editor:

I am writing to endorse Janet Kuzma as a candidate for the Newtown Board of Education.

I met Janet during our kids’ baseball season, prepandemic. From the moment I met her it was abundantly clear that she has a voice and a stake in our community. Fast forward a year and wow, let me tell you, I am beyond grateful that I have a powerhouse like Janet Kuzma in my circle to be a voice for our kids.

As we all know, our kids’ education has been on the line since the pandemic began. Janet has worked tirelessly and selflessly since day one to make sure that our kids are supported in every way possible.

From the Facebook group she started to give parents the vital information we needed to combat online learning, to the petition she spearheaded to get our kids back to school when it was abundantly clear online learning was not working. She has been under scrutiny multiple times for speaking up, but she has never once wavered or backed down and she does it because she loves our kids!

I know I am not alone in saying that I am forever grateful for her blood, sweat, and tears and she is without hesitation the kind of person I want on our Board of Education!

I am happily voting for Janet Kuzma on November 2!
