Newtown High School’s 1981 state champion football team will honored Friday, October 22, at halftime of Newtown vs Cheshire game at Blue & Gold Stadium, which kicks off at 7 pm. Tickets for the public are $5 at the gate.

Additionally, the 1981 team is welcoming all football alums, regardless of class, for a pair of events in town on Saturday, October 23.

The 1981 team members rented out NewSylum Brewing Co, on Keating Farms Ave in Fairfield Hills from noon to 3 pm and Cover Two Sports Cafe, 100 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook, from 3 to 5 pm for films and food.

The team requests a $50 donation to the Newtown Football Association via a check or Venmo account. For those who donate more than $50, it will used for the Newtown High School football team.
