Patricia A. Arnold, a 39-year resident of Southbury, died October 10. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Floyd and Carolyn Duermit Cordes. They left Ohio in 1936 to live in New York State, until moving to Connecticut, in 1950. Ms Arnold considered Herkimer, N.Y., to be her hometown, since she spent formative years with her childhood friends and attended school there. She always said it was a great little town to grow up in.

She leaves her husband, Robert E. Arnold, Sr, of Southbury; six children, Sandra Mosher of Newtown, Robert Arnold, Jr, of Southbury, Richard Arnold of New Milford, and his wife Christina, Deborah Flint of Bethel, Kathleen Mosher of Southbury, and Timothy Mosher and his significant other, Terry Lieder, of Southbury; her grandchildren Michael Flint, and his wife Yayoi, Ashlie Taylor Mosher, Peter Blunt, and Caitlin Blunt. She also leaves a brother, LeRoy Cordes of Brookfield, and his close friend of many years, Joan Huse; a sister, Carol Dombroski of South Norwalk, and her husband James; six great-grandchildren; and a nephew. She leaves her many work associates, especially her close friend Susan Wyatt.

Ms Arnold was actively engaged in working until September 2013, her latest and most favored position being with L'Amy America in Wilton where she was an inventory and freight coordinator. She enjoyed reading, photography, NASCAR, and birdwatching at the many feeders in her yard.

She had many pet dogs throughout her life. Her husband also cared for the many feral cats living in the wooded area nearby.

A memorial gathering will take place Sunday, October 19, from noon to 3 pm, at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North.
