To the Editor:

We recommend without qualification the election of Paul Mangiafico to the Board of Police Commissioners this November.

His record of public service and business success amply demonstrate that he is a man committed to carrying out his responsibilities and giving serious thought to issues before acting; but act he does, as this quote from his resume proves:

“We must not think the solution to problems is to assign yet another ‘study’ to determine a course of action, only to have it sit idle in a filing cabinet. Objectives must be set and targeted for attainment.”

We endorse Paul because he will represent the needs of the police department with his characteristic candor and sense of fairness. Likewise, he will help the commission move forward to act on important issues of security, safety, and traffic.
