Raise A Glass For Scholarship

To the Editor:

We invite our neighbors and friends to join the board of governors of the Newtown Scholarship Association at the fifth annual Harvest Wine Tasting fundraiser on Saturday, October 15, from 4 to 7 pm.

This year’s event will take place at the historic Sticks and Stones Farm, home of master stone mason Tim Currier and Annie Stiefel. Sticks and Stones is located at 201 Huntingtown Road, Newtown.

The event, sponsored by People’s United Bank, will feature a wine and beer tasting, provided by Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor, passed hors d’oeuvres, a silent and live auction, and a 50/50 raffle.

There will be live music provided by Lost Dog, a traditional bluegrass band. They love hard-driving bluegrass with spirited instrumentals and high lonesome trio harmonies.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor or by calling 203-426-7713. They can also be purchased at the door.
