John Giacobbe, 57, of Bridgeport, died October 10, in St Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, June 4, 1954, he was a son of Joseph and Josephine Silano Giacobbe.

In addition to his parents, he leaves a cherished daughter, Joy Magnarella, and her husband Jason, of Stratford; three siblings, including Phyllis Framularo, and her husband Charles, of Newtown; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mr Giacobbe was an employee of the City of Bridgeport Board of Education, with more than 15 years of service. He was a fun-loving person, an avid golfer, and enjoyed sailing. But above all he enjoyed the time spent with his family. He was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place October 13. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
