Radar Patrol
Police report that they were conducting a radar speed patrol on Wasserman Way, near its intersection with Nunnawauk Road, about 7:34 pm on October 8, when they detected motorist Michele Bonacci Olam, 38, of 261 Berkshire Road driving a vehicle traveling 55 miles per hour eastward on Wasserman Way in a 30-mph zone, so they stopped her to investigate.
Police said they charged Olam with traveling too fast and with driving with a suspended vehicle registration. Police said Olam is scheduled to appear on October 27 in Danbury Superior Court.
Sugar Street
A three-vehicle chain-reaction accident occurred near 49 Sugar Street at about 12:30 pm on October 9.
Police said motorist Silvestre DeSouza, 30, of Danbury, who was driving a 2002 Honda Accord sedan eastward on Sugar Street, stopped in preparing to make a left turn onto Sugar Lane.
Eastbound motorist Ivani Rodrigues, 34, of Framingham, Mass., who was driving a 2000 Ford Focus sedan, then stopped behind the Honda, police said.
Eastbound motorist Steven Kaufman, 48, of Shelton, who was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, then struck the rear end of the Ford, pushing the Ford into the rear end of the Honda, police said.
Multiple passengers from the vehicles were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries, police said.
Police said they issued Kaufman an infraction for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart. Police said they gave DeSouza an infraction for driving without a license.
South Main Accident
Police report a two-vehicle accident near 105 South Main Street about 4:09 pm on October 10.
In that incident, southbound motorist Rosanna Spada, 29, of Milford, who was driving a 2005 Acura TSX sedan, struck the rear end of a southbound 1999 Oldsmobile 88 sedan driven by Tracey Staton, 36, of Bridgeport, police said.
There were no injuries. Spada received a written warning for following too closely, police report.
Disorderly Conduct
Police report they received a complaint about 5:05 pm on October 11 about an incident that occurred on Birch Hill Road, so they responded to the area to investigate.
Police said they charged Christopher Mocarski, 52, of 53 Birch Hill Road with disorderly conduct for allegedly shouting some foul language at a neighbor.
Police released Mocarski on $200 bail for an October 25 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Kawasaki Crash
After traveling eastward on Palestine Road, Stephen Clark, 18, of 100 Wasserman Way, who was riding a 2002 Kawasaki KLX-110 minibike-style motorcycle, traveled past a stop sign at the intersection of Palestine Road and Hundred Acres Road and then struck some curbing at about 12:33 am on October 12, police said.
The impact threw Clark from the minibike, police said. Clark was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries, police report. The accident is under investigation.
Larceny Charge
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Andrew Cabral, 23, of 168 Huntingtown Road went to the police station on the morning of October 12 and was charged with sixth-degree larceny, police report.
Police said that Cabral allegedly stole some scrap metal from a residence on The Boulevard on July 21, which prompted them to investigate and then seek a court warrant for his arrest.
After processing, police released Cabral on $100 bail for an October 25 court appearance.
