Bethel Fair, Run Promoting Healthy Lifestyles

BETHEL — The Bethel Chamber of Commerce and St Mary’s will bring the first Health Fair & Events to the town October 22 to promote a healthy lifestyle. Bethel’s Selectman Matt Knickerbocker has declared October 22 as Bethel Health Day.

The fair will be at 11-13 Stony Hill Road, which is on Route 6 right by the Bethel Target. St Mary’s will host its 3rd Annual Catch Me If You Can School Races.

Not a runner? Then check out all the activities at the Bethel Sportsplex including a Spin-A-Thon from 8 am to noon, a Dance-A-Thon from 9 am to noon, and yoga from noon till 2 pm.

The First Annual Healthy Lifestyle Fair is sponsored by Newtown Savings Bank.

Residents are encouraged to come see and shop more than 45 vendors from 10 am too 2 pm. There will also be bone density testing, AARP and elder care support, holistic specialists, fair trade vendors, and healthy food sampling.

Buy a raffle ticket to win gift baskets with all proceeds raised going to the American Cancer Society to support breast cancer research.

Children are invited to dress up in costume and come to the Sportsplex Kids room to paint pumpkins donated by Hollandia.
