Girls U12

Power 5, Hampton 1 – Cristina Naldini, Molly Mahony, Meaghan Carney, Leah Barrett and Maddy Keane all scored as the Power pounded Hampton at the 20th annual Paul R. Cody Soccer Tournament in Windsor. Rains forced the cancellation of the remaining four games. Ali Korchman had three assists while Hannah Maret and Nicole Davis each had one. Kelley Gaston and Cristina Caporale played well at the midfield. Catherine Scott, Abby Keough, and Cassie Fallon played solid defense. Kendall Svanda and Stefanie Clavette shared the goal.

U11 Girls

Hebron 4, Flash 2 (CT Cup) – Tressa Scott and Kelsey Karp scored the goals in a loss to Hebron. Kristiana Engler, Brittany Tolla, Stephanie Roman and Melissa Buccino were tough on offense.

Flash 9, Torrington 0 – Kelsey Karp and Tressa Scott scored two goals apiece and Kristiana Engler had a goal and an assist to power the Flash to the win. Stephanie Roman, Katie Yakush, Bridget Power and Brittany Tolla all scored.

IN-HOUSE

Girls U14

Danbury 5, Turf Trashers 1 – Kaitlyn Connolly scored off an assist from Kaley Kruger as the Trashers fell to Danbury. Kate Bloxsom, Anna Chamiec-Pauneto, Alyse Brautigam and Emily Floros played well on defense.

Hurricanes 2, Unknown 1 – Courtney Berko scored two goals with assists from Emma Sabin and Christie Iorfino to lead the ‘Canes. Lauren Hutchison, Kyra Smith and goalie Em Audet had great games. For the Unknown, Katie Burns scored a goal with an assist from Audra Sarna. Abby Blakeman, Jen Smith and Emma Iannini played well.

Boys U8

Scorpions 2, Wizards 1 – Kevin Droniak and Blake Jarvis scored the goals to lift the Scorpions to the win. Jimmy Kostopoulos had an assist as Lucas Ladestro and Jake Oliger played solid defense. For the Wizards, Gentian Limani scored the goal. Ryna Norton played well in goal and Peter Kohlsaats had a good all-around game.

U6

Torpedo Blue Jays 4, Fighting Irish 3 – Gavin Stubbs scored twice and Matthew Tassiello and Ryan Kost both scored a goal a piece to lead the Jays. Amanda Wikramanayake, Taylor Pare, Emily Dirga and Sydney Flint were strong on defense. For the Fighting Irish, Thomas Leuci scored two goals and Jillian Pieretti added one. Peter DeBona was played well in the goal while Connor McNerney played aggressively up and down the field.
