Creative Writing: Poetry At The Library

The Booth Library Creative Writing Group for Young Adults will offer a special poetry workshop this fall.

“Creative Writing: Poetry” will be led by Liz Arneth, a retired English teacher and resident of Newtown, who will be assisted by some of the library’s adult writer volunteers.

All sessions will allow time for writing and sharing poems as well as one-on-one communication between adults and young people.

The group will meet on five consecutive Mondays, November 7 to December 5, from 6 to 8 pm.  There is a limit of ten students in grades 6 and up.

There is no fee, but participants are expected to attend all five sessions. Preference will be given to Newtown residents.

Sign up at the main circulation dest of Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown, or call 426-4533 to register.
