âConversations With Godâ
BROOKFIELD â The Healing Arts Community of CT (HACCT) will host a sneak preview weekend Conversations With God, a film adapted from the books by Neale Donald Walsch that inspired and changed the lives of millions of people around the world. Residents in the greater Danbury area will get to see the moving and inspirational film before its nationwide opening later this year.
Conversations With God tells the true story of Mr Walsch (played by Henry Czerny) who, at the lowest point in his life, asks God some very hard questions. The answers he gets from God/within become the foundation of an internationally acclaimed book series that has sold over 7 million copies and been translated into 34 languages.
The film chronicles the dramatic journey of a down and out man who inadvertently becomes a spiritual messenger and bestselling author. The film was produced and directed by Stephen Simon (producer of Somewhere In Time and What Dreams May Come).
There are three screenings of the film planned: Friday and Saturday, October 20 and 21, at 8 pm; and Sunday, October 22, at 5 pm. The screening will be at HACCT, 777 Federal Road in Brookfield. Call 775-8332 to contact the HACCT office.
Tickets are $10 prepaid, or $15 at the door, and can be purchased online at HACCT.org or by sending a check to HACCT at PO Box 113, Brookfield CT 06804. Checks may also be dropped off at HACCT.
âConversations With God is a compelling, emotional and dramatic movie that shares deep spiritual messages without proselytizing,â said Sharona Fein, the director of HACCT. Â âThis is exactly the type of meaningful entertainment we believe in and we are thrilled to be able to present this screening to this community.â
