Nancy Louise McClellan, 83, died October 7 at Filosa Nursing Home in Danbury. She was a resident at Homesteads of Newtown, having moved to Connecticut in 2001. Mrs McClellan was born on January 17, 1923, in Kulpmont, Penn., to Salvadore and Theresa (Rainal) Miriello.
She was much loved and will be greatly missed by her niece and husband, Nancy and Bob Haas of Newtown; her sister, Mary Konopski of Kulpmont, Penn.; nephew Joseph Konopski and wife, Jennifer, of Lansdale, Penn.; nephew John Ziegler and wife, Nina, of Harmony, Penn.; great-nephews and nieces Bob Haas, Jr, Christy Haas Garcia, Joe, Mike, and Stephanie Konopski, and Trisa Ziegler. Mrs McClellan was predeceased in 1993 by her husband of 44 years, Howard McClellan; two great-nephews, Brian and Johnny Ziegler; and her brother-in-law, John Konopski.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, on Monday, October 16, at 10 am. Burial will be in Fairfax, Va.
