Matt Pachniuk (Wheaton College men’s soccer) – The senior goaltender matched Wheaton College’s men’s soccer program’s career shutout mark of 26 as the Lyons battled nationally-ranked Wesleyan University to a 0-0 overtime draw last week. He has played and started 11 games this year for the 7-3-3 Lyons and has accumulated 56 saves and a 1.04 goals-against average in that time.

Marcus Tracy (Wake Forest men’s soccer) – Scored the lone goal in #7 Wake Forest’s 2-1 loss to #6 Maryland on September 23. The goal came just 2:04 into the contest, off an assist from Michael Lahoud, but the Terrapins rallied with two late second half goals to win … Through 13 games for the 10-2-1 Demon Deacons, Tracy has four goals (tied for second on the team) and an assist.

Casey Frobey (Fairfield University women’s soccer) – Was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week after leading the Lady Stags to a 2-1-0 week and a championship at the BAE Systems Tournament in West Point, New York, September 15-18 … Through 12 games for the 4-4-4 Lady Stags, the freshman has a team-high six goals with two assists.

Diana Grimaldi (Emmanuel College women’s volleyball team) – The freshman middle hitter has played in 37 games (15 matches) for the 5-10 Lady Saints and has accumulated 53 kills (1.43 per game) with 14 service aces, 18 digs and 18 blocks.

Ryan Tracy (University of Pennsylvania men’s soccer) – Through 10 games for the 7-2-1 Quakers, Tracy has a team-high four goals with two assists … scored a goal in the Quakers’ 3-2 loss to LaSalle on September 20.

Nicole Sieber (Western Connecticut State University women’s soccer) – Has four goals and five assists for the 13-0-0 Lady Colonials … scored two goals and added an assist as WCSU crushed Albertus Magnus, 14-0, on October 5 … scored a goal to help lead the undefeated Lady Colonials to a 3-1 win over Worcester State on September 26 … notched an assist as WCSU blanked the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, 4-0, on September 23 … notched an assist in a 5-0 win over Johnson & Wales on September 20 … scored a goal and assisted on another as the Lady Colonials hammered Wentworth Tech, 5-0, on September 14 … notched an assist in a season-opening 2-1 win over Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Tom Ryan (Worcester Polytechnic Institute football) – Has 10 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown through five games for WPI … made two grabs for 26 yards and a touchdown in WPI’s 33-14 loss to Merchant Marine on September 22. After Merchant Marine took a 13-0 lead, Ryan caught a 17-yard strike from Rob Pantalone with 12:10 left to play in the second quarter for WPI’s first score of the day … made three grabs for 29 yards in WPI’s 28-27 loss to Union last weekend.

Chris Hoagland (Castleton State men’s soccer) – Came off the bench to score a goal and notch an assist as Castleton defeated Lesley, 5-2, on October 7 … through 13 games for the 6-6-1 Spartans, Hoagland has two goals and two assists for 10 points.

Kim Allen (Castleton State women’s soccer) – Has played 1,040 or a possible 1,310 minutes in the net for the Lady Spartans, registering 93 saves and a 1.30 goals-against average with two shutouts. Her personal record is 5-4-2 while the Lady Spartans are 7-5-2.

Tara Gaston (Gettysburg College women’s soccer) – Scored her first career goal against Ursinus on September 16 and in a 1-0 loss to Messiah on September 20 Gaston helped cover for sophomore goaltender Danielle St. Pierre, who had rushed out of position to try and stop a charge. When Messiah passed the ball and unleashed a hard shot on net, Gaston was there to stop it.

Alex Konneker (Manhattan College women’s soccer) – Through 13 games has three goals and two assists for the 8-4-1 Lady Jaspers … scored in a 3-1 win over Marist on October 8.

Chelsea Morin (Ursinus College women’s soccer) – Has been coming off the bench for 4-5-0 Ursinus and through nine games has registered an assist with 16 shots (four of those on goal).

Allison Frobey (Plymouth State women’s soccer) – The co-captain has played in 10 games, starting nine, for the 4-5-1 Lady Panthers … has notched one assist.

Mike Troy (Fairfield University men’s soccer) – The senior defender scored his first goal of the season in a 3-1 win over Siena College on September 29.

Rachel Bolmer (Western Connecticut State University field hockey) – Through 10 games, has registered four goals for the 1-9-0 Lady Colonials … scored a goal in WCSU’s 3-2 loss to Southern Maine on October 7.

Nick Mentessana (University of Missouri at Rolla men’s soccer) – Has played  in all 15 games for the 7-7-1 Miners with 11 shots (three of those on goal.

Brian Miles (Montclair State men’s soccer) – Notched an assist as Montclair defeated Hunter College, 7-2, on September 25, and notched another assist as the Red Hawks stopped Rutgers University at Newark, 6-1, on September 27 … has played in 12 games and has registered three assists along the way.

Brendan Cavanaugh (Roger Williams University men’s soccer) – Scored a goal at the 25:24 mark to help lead the Hawks to a 5-0 win over Eastern Nazarene of Bristol, Rhode Island, on September 23 … notched an assist as the Hawks nipped Nichols College, 2-1, on September 18 (the goal tied the game at 1-1) … notched an assist on the lone goal in Roger Williams’ 1-0 win over Endicott … has a goal and two assists for the 4-4-2 Lyons while starting all 10 games.

Stephanie Logan (Quinnipiace University volleyball) – The Lady Bobcats remain winless at 0-17, but Logan has remained an integral part of the team. She has played in 45 games and 14 matches, registering 65 kills, five service aces, 28 digs and 19 blocks.
