Mary Riccardi, 78, of Bethel, died in Danbury Hospital October 4. She was the wife of Mariano “Mario” Riccardi. Mrs Riccardi was born February 8, 1928, in Danbury, a daughter of Antonio and Clara DeGrazia.

In addition to her husband, Mrs Riccardi is survived by three sons, Christopher Riccardi and his wife, Tara, of Newtown; Ivo Riccardi and his wife, Alberta, of Danbury, and Timo Riccardi and his wife, Dawn, of Pelzer, S.C.; two daughters, Judy Schoonmaker and her husband, Karl, Priscilla Parznchowski and her husband, Don; and a stepdaughter, Donna Cyr and her husband, Roger, all of Bethel; a brother, Bernard DeGrazia of Roanoke, Va.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a brother, John “Red” DeGrazia.

Mrs Riccardi was a graduate of Danbury High School. She was employed by Risdon Corporation, Dictograph, and Consolidated Control, from which she retired at age 62. She attended St Mary’s Church, Bethel.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Mary’s Church on October 10. Burial was in St Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
