Halloween Walk Benefits NKF

MERIDEN — The First Gift of Life Walk on Sunday, October 29, will benefit the National Kidney Foundation of Connecticut. Sponsored walkers will dress in their Halloween-best costumes and stroll the Meriden Mall to raise awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation.

Registration is at 9 am; walk begins at 10 am. The money raised will go directly towards research and patient services as well as pubic and professional education about kidney disease. There will be “tricks and treats,” prizes, and music, and the first 100 walkers to pre-register with a donation of $50 or more will get a free tee-shirt.
