BROOKFIELD – The town of Brookfield, in conjunction with Stamford Health System’s Mobile Medical Services, is offering a mammography screening for women age 35 and over. Women without medical insurance or other financial resources are eligible for a free mammogram.

The State of Connecticut loses 500 women to breast cancer every year. Experts agree that a regular mammogram screening is the most effective means of finding breast cancer early, when it is most treatable.

Pre-registration is suggested. All results of the screening are provided directly to the patient and her physician and are kept strictly confidential.
