To the Editor:

Those interested in how our town runs will be familiar with the name of Jordana Bloom from her years of selfless service on both town agencies and with volunteer organizations. You’ve seen her on the Legislative Council, on Newtown’s Community Center Commission and as a planner for the future of the Booth Library. And she’s run her own business, which is no small feat in itself.

You’ll find her at the front of the nearest volunteer line, ready again to offer her energy and enthusiasm in this November’s election for the Legislative Council representing District 2. Her many posts, her continued service and her ability to deliver when she commits to something speak to her dedication to Newtown. We’re fortunate to be the beneficiaries of her willingness to serve.

Newtown needs more people like her — people who are enthusiastic, energetic and true to Newtown and its future. While some may vie for office to serve other agendas, Jordana is running for the betterment of Newtown and its residents. Please vote for her on November 7th along with the rest of the Democratic candidates.
