To the Editor:

As a parent and teacher, I know how important teamwork is for the success of our children. Alison Plante will work with her fellow board members, and engage thoughtfully with parents and teachers for the betterment of our school district. She will most importantly advocate on behalf of the students of Newtown Public Schools, ensuring that their education is preparing them to be responsible and respectful adults.

Alison’s dedication to our community, as proven during her tenure on the BOE, is shown through her careful consideration of concerns, district-wide initiatives, and policies. There is no doubt in my mind that Alison will champion the mission of Newtown Public Schools to inspire excellence in our children so they can be positive forces not just in our town, but the global community in which we all live.
