To the Editor:

I am writing to support Julia Conlin for Newtown Police Commissioner. Julia would be an excellent member of the Commission bringing years of experience practicing law while living and raising her family in Newtown.

Julia has worked as both a prosecutor and in criminal defense in the State of Connecticut, which gives her a balanced and insightful perspective that she will bring to the Police Commission. She has strong problem-solving skills that draw people together and enable a consensus to be reached. She is committed to ensuring and improving public safety within our community. Her leadership style reflects her integrity as well as her ability to be fair and understand diverse perspectives.

I have personally known Julia for over a decade and have served with her on the PTA on several committees and projects. Julia is intelligent, thoughtful, diligent and dedicated to everything she does. She collaborates with others while bringing fresh ideas to any challenge or situation.

Julia is deeply invested in the Newtown community and has the wisdom and vision to make sound decisions. I strongly encourage you to vote for Julia Conlin for Newtown Police Commissioner.
