Vote For Tony Hwang By Trista Morin
To the Editor:
I have been an Independent from day one when I registered to vote. I vote for people, not parties. The person who wins my vote must have integrity, innovative ideas, and not just believe in partisanship, but also must be willing to cross the aisle to get things done. Tony Hwang not only embodies these attributes, but his leadership, experience, and commitment to community are bar none. He works tirelessly to attend town functions, support nonprofits and their endeavors, and believes in opening up the democratic process.
I met Tony two years ago at a Business Education Initiative event where I mentioned that my son had just completed an internship but was looking for another opportunity before he returned to school. Tony, a Republican, and my son, a die-hard Democrat, met for an almost three-hour coffee that left my son so impressed that he truly wanted to intern for him and he ultimately did. Tony left an indelible mark on my son that went way beyond politics. He showed him, as he does everyone he comes across, the true importance of character, dedication, and loyalty.
I urge everyone to cast their vote in November, once again, for Tony Hwang.
