Waldorf School Hosting A Fourth Grade Experience
Waldorf School Hosting A Fourth Grade Experience
Parents and teachers are invited by the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School to become a fourth grade student for the morning of Tuesday, October 16.
The scheduled event will show participants what the typical morning main lesson taught by a trained Waldorf teacher is like. This glimpse into the fourth grade curriculum, designed specifically to meet the development of a 10-year-old child, centers around the fire and ice of the preadolescent using the great texts from Norse Mythology to teach academics artistically. Following the class, refreshments will be offered and a question-and-answer session will be held.
Fourth grade teacher Amalia Pretel-Gray will be the instructor for the day. Space is limited and reservations are required by October 12. To register, call 203-364-1113. No walk-ins will be admitted.
