Theater Barn To Hold Open Auditions For

Pre-New York Run Of ‘Ruthless!’

RIDGEFIELD — Ridgefield Theater Barn will hold open auditions for a pre-New York workshop of Ruthless! The Musical, on Sunday, October 14, from  5 to 7 pm, and Monday, October 15, from 7-9 pm, at the theater barn, 37 Halpin Lane.

The production, which will be directed by Joel Paley and musically directed by Marvin Laird, the author and composer respectively, will be a reworking of their original 1993 Off-Broadway hit.

Performances will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm, January 17-27.

Mr Paley and Mr Laird are Looking for strong musical comedy females for a contemporary musical farce. Casting will be all ages, including a child or small adult to play a precocious eight-year-old. A male actor will be considered for a larger-than-life- theatrical female role.

Those auditioning should prepare a song that shows their range, and be prepared to make the directors laugh. Sides will be provided during the auditions.  Second auditions and/or callbacks will be held later in the week.

This is a non-Equity, non-paid production.
