Smoking Cessation Program
NEW MILFORD â Starting on October 23 and running through November 27, Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7 pm, New Milford Hospital will offer a comprehensive smoking cessation program called Quit Now. It is a six-session medication therapy and behavior modification treatment service that aims to help smokers quit their habit for good.
The program instructor is Marianne Mitchell, RN, APRN, TTS, who is a an advance practice nurse practitioner and certified tobacco treatment specialist.
The program is offered in a group session format or arrangements can be made for individual sessions. The cost of enrolling in the program is $150 per person and is limited to 12 people per series; advance registration is required.
Completing the Quit Now program also allows access to a monthly support group called Stay Quit to provide continuous support for relapse prevention.
