Not An Ordinary Day

To the Editor:

We would like to sincerely thank the dispatcher at 911 and the guys at United Fire Company of Botsford for their immediate response to our 911 call on Wednesday, October 3, at 3 pm.

It probably seemed like an ordinary day to most people but for us it was far from it. Ordinary came to a screeching halt when we found our home filled with smoke due to an electrical fire. Thankfully nobody was home at the time and it was contained in one room; however the damage it left beyond will certainly linger for the next few weeks as we try to restore our home from smoke damages. Although the fire could have been worse, we were still shaken.

The firefighters that came to our rescue were so patient and yet quick to take care of our home. And for that we’re grateful to them. Their heroic efforts should never go unnoticed. Thank you Fire Marshal Bill Halstead, Fire Chief Wayne Caccia, and your team of firefighters!
