'Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows' Panel And Discussion
âHarry Potter And The Deathly Hallowsâ Panel And Discussion
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows may be the last book in the series by J.K. Rowling, but it is not the last word. A panel of Newtown High School students will lead off a discussion about the seventh book in the Harry Potter series at the C.H. Booth Library, Thursday, October 18, from 3 to 4:30 pm, in the first floor meeting room.
Juniors Tori Mead and Lora Streett, and freshman Vinny Brophy will offer their opinions on some of the characters and themes and invite attendees to join in the conversation. Library head of technical support and avid Harry Potter fan Brenda McKinley will moderate the open exchange of ideas.
This is an opportunity for some serious conversation about one of the best-known book series of modern times. Horcruxes, Snape and Lily, the Elder Wand, Voldemort, and the Epilogue of the book that takes place 19 years later are just a few of the things that will be discussed.
The discussion is open to all students and there is no sign-up for this free event. For more information, call the C.H. Booth Library at 426-4533.
