Loved Time With His Family
George J. Nemeth, Sr, 94, of Norwalk, died at home October 4. He was the husband of the late Mary Salva Nemeth. Mr Nemeth was born in Darien, May 19, 1913, the son of Joseph and Clara Shimko Nemeth, and had resided in Norwalk for most of his life.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Lato of Newtown and Mary Lou DâAndrea of Stamford; three sons, George J. Nemeth, Jr, John P. Nemeth, and Ronald J. Nemeth, all of Norwalk; seven grandchildren, Pam, Robin, Joe, Karen, Denise, Todd, and Ryan; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His brothers, Frank and Stephen Shimko, and a sister, Julia Quarford, predeceased him.
Mr Nemeth was retired from Burndy Corp where he had been a security guard and had previously worked for many years at the Connecticut Potato Chip Factory. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and loved spending time with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated October 9 in St Matthew Church, Norwalk. Burial followed in St John Cemetery in Norwalk.
