Former Connecticut State Trooper
Albert Kruzshak, beloved husband of Norma (Miller) Kruzshak, died at his Newtown home October 3, with his family by his side.
Mr Kruzshak was born in Bridgeport and had been a lifelong resident of Connecticut. He obtained an early graduation from Bassick High School so that he could join the Marine Corps during World War II.
After his discharge he attended the University of Connecticut and upon graduation became a Connecticut State Trooper, Troop G. He was the Resident State Trooper in the Town of Weston for many years, often accompanied by his faithful police dog, Nicky. He worked as a detective with the Organized Street Task Force. After 24 years with the State Police he worked in corporate security until his retirement.
Mr Kruzshak was a member of VFW Post 308, the Connecticut State Police Alumni Association, and The American Society for Industrial Security. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and being with his family, friends, and dogs. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
His wife of 55 years, Norma; his children Jo Ann, Charles, John, and Carey; eight grandchildren; and his devoted terrier, Mitsi, survive him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, on Saturday, October 13, at noon. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. There are no calling hours.
