A Weekend Of Music At

Pumpkin Patch

Paproski’s Castle Hill Farm & Pumpkin Patch will host a special Fall Festival October 13–14. Billed as a “Music Weekend,” the fair will offer live music by two bands, each headlining Saturday and Sunday.

Kathleen Kruze and Friends will be performing original jazz and blues on Saturday from 3 to 5 pm. Her band consists of jazz violinist Richard Brooks, bassist and backup vocalist Robin Simmons, and percussionist James Moss. Ms Kruze writes all her own material and has developed a distinctive style and sound.

There will be plenty to do for kids, including a corn maze, hayrides, pony rides, pumpkin-picking, face paintings. Also, family portraits will be offered that weekend for an additional fee.

Sunday’s concert will feature Redstone Ridge, a bluegrass band, performing at 3 pm.

Admission is free. The farm is located on Sugar Lane, off Route 302. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be rescheduled for a later date. Call 426-5487 if weather is questionable.
