Thursday Trek At Kellogg Center

DERBY – The Kellogg Environmental Center will continue the monthly program titled “Thursday Treks” on October 21 at 1 pm. Mary Beth Martin will lead participants exploring the natural world through interactive walks designed to develop observation and questioning skills in young and old alike.

The walks are mild to moderate in effort, and slow paced so that observations may be made. Participants are encouraged to bring journals or notebooks, which will aid in recording finds and making notes.

A $2 donation is requested and registration is required. The Kellogg Environmental Center is adjacent to Osbornedale State Park which has over 400 acres of meadows, streams, old pastures and wooded hills. Call 734-2513 between 9 am and 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. The Center is at 500 Hawthorne Avenue.
